不眠症で１年間も眠れずにいる男が、不可解な出来事に巻き込まれ、次第に精神を蝕まれていく恐怖を描いたサイコ・スリラー。監督はブラッド・アンダーソン。主演のクリスチャン・ベイルは役作りのため約３０キロの減量を行った。
なんといってもクリスチャン・ベイルですね。役作りの為といっても、よくあそこまで痩せたもんだなと感心してしまいます。怖いくらいの激痩せですからね！！今年は「バットマン」では主役での出演ですし、さらなる活躍が期待されますね。
映画自体も結構面白かったですね。暗い感じの映像が恐怖感を煽ってくれます。オチ的にはさほど目新しさはないですけど、ストーリーにはグイグイ引き込まれました。
１年ぶりの眠りの後、いったいどんな気分で目覚めるのでしょうかねー・・・・？
