ライフ・オブ・デビット・ゲイル
同僚の女性を強姦・殺害した罪で死刑が迫っている元大学教授に単独インタビューすることになった女性記者。そこには衝撃の結末が・・・。主演はケヴィン・スペイシー（「アメリカン・ビューティー」等）ケイト・ウィンスレット（「タイタニック」等）。共演にローラ･リニー（「プロフェシー」等）監督はイギリス出身のアラン・パーカー。
まったくもって完全にやられてしまった！！見終わった後、軽く放心状態でした。死刑制度の是非について扱った作品ではあるが、死刑制度に対して明確な反対を示しているわけではなく、初めて死刑制度について深く考えさせられました。死刑反対運動だからといってこの映画のようなことはしてはいけないと思うし、でも実際に冤罪で死刑になった人もいるだろうし・・・。かなり難しい問題ですよね。自分には結論が出せないです。
ケヴィン・スペイシー、ケイト・ウィンスレット、ローラ･リニーこの3人がとても素晴らしかったです。まさに必見の演技です（＾０＾）！！
後味が良いわけではないですけど、いろいろと考えさせられ、心に残る映画でした！！
